As with other genealogy sites, this provides access to Birth, Marriage and Death (BMD) certificates and dates besides 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1891, and 1901 Census records. The 1881 Census details are available free from
Family Search.
The latter also provided pre-1841 details of some births, marriages and names via an
International Genealogical Index .
Discovering each later BMD details for a single person can involve scrutinising names from at least four, sometimes illegible, handwritten or typed sheets per year. The

makes this easier, in some cases, by the provision of text based searching.
Isaac Abrahams, born 1846 in Liverpool, married Eliza (Elizabeth) Wilson Spence, born 1855 also in Liverpool. The wedding was registered in West Derby, a suburb of Liverpool, in 1876. Census records for 1881 to 1901 indicate nine children, all with a different second name, including John Spence Abrahams (1) born in 1881, again in Liverpool.
Isaac’s father, shown as John Abraham, was born in Wales between 1814 and 1817. Wife Sarah, of a similar age, was born in Liverpool. Five children are identified.
Eliza’s father was James J Spence, born in Ireland around 1821. Wife Christina was born in Liverpool. Six children are shown.
John Spence Abrahams (1) married Alice Francis Guiver in 1898 and John Spence Abrahams (2) was born in 1899, again in Liverepool. The Guivers have connections with Essex, assuming that the identified 1881 Census record is applicable. Note that no father is shown for Alice Francis.
The records indicate that JSA (2) married Hilda Brown in 1931 in Wandsworth with John Spence Abrahams (3) being born in 1936. JSA (2)’s earlier relationships require more knowledge and research.
