Barraclough and Daniels (Kellett) Census Details 1841-1901
The starting point was father Squire Barraclough Plasterer (Deceased) from the 1895 marriage license between Solomon Kellett and Mary Jane Barraclough. Squire occupation plasterer was found in the 1871 Census but in lodgings. Other Barracloughs were found via BA* wild card searches for the misspelled names shown below. These appeared to be linked together.
The Barraclough and Sarah Daniels connection was found via marriage records. Although the Census details for Sarah’s age are inconsistent, the likely ancestors were assumed to be those living at Slack Side, North Bierley where the Barracloughs lived in 1881. Jane Daniels provides a Welsh connection but John Daniels appears to be a joker, reportedly born in Northumberland, (1851/61 Census details), Scotland (1871) and At Sea (1881).
All typewritten details are in
Barraclough Text Records,
Angell, Barraclough, Kellett Text Records and
Daniels Text Records.
Sharp and Wadsworth (Kellett) Census Details 1841-1901
The starting point for Sharp and Wadsworth was Helen Holmes at the 1891 Kellett household. The 1881 Census showed Ellen Holmes living with mother Isabella Wadsworth and son Joe Sharp. This lead to the other Sharps and Wadsworths.
Typewritten details are in
Sharp Text Records and
Wadsworth Text Records.
The Sharp 1871 text records were translated as Thorpe from this
handwritten sample found via searching for Wadsworth.
For reference to both of the above, also see the
